Erasmus+ Project 210: "The Eco Circle of My Life"

The Erasmus+ project "The Eco Circle of My Life" aims to promote environmental awareness and sustainability among primary school students in Cyprus, Greece, Portugal, Poland, and Lithuania. By integrating ecological principles and practices into education, the project equips young learners with the knowledge and skills needed for a sustainable future.

Project Goals

  1. 1. Educate students on sustainable living and its impact on the environment.
  2. 2. Empower teachers with tools to deliver ecological education.
  3. 3. Introduce students to circular economy principles like reducing, reusing, and recycling.
  4. 4. Collaborate with eco-friendly local authorities, universities, and scientists.
  5. 5. Disseminate information through a project website and social media.

Activities

The project emphasizes hands-on learning and collaboration through:

  • Teachers' training, creating a curriculum and a website to disseminate our project.
  • On practical level we will also organise field trips for elementary pupils to explore and
  • experience sustainability.

Collaborative Projects: Cross-country school partnerships to exchange ideas and best practices.

Awareness Efforts: Updates and resources shared via a dedicated website and social media.

Expected Impact

Students will understand the direct impact of their actions, such as planting trees to observe environmental benefits or reducing waste to see tangible results. Partnerships with eco- authorities and scientists will enhance learning with real-world insights.

The project aims to inspire sustainable behaviour in students, empower teachers, and foster global collaboration, leaving a lasting legacy of environmental awareness and responsibility. By involving broader communities through online platforms, the initiative hopes to extend its influence beyond classrooms, contributing to a more sustainable future.
