KA153 envARToment

envARToment is an Erasmus+ KA153 project (training course) aimed at empowering youth to become active agents of environmental care through the transformative power of art. By integrating various art forms, this project seeks to inspire, educate, and mobilize youth, fostering a deeper commitment to sustainability and environmental care.

The main objectives of envARToment project are:

  • Increase awareness among youth about environmental challenges and motivate them to take action.
  • Explore innovative and artistic approaches to make environmental care more appealing and engaging.
  • Give to youth workers new skills and strategies to promote sustainability.
  • Foster a mindset shift, encouraging participants to see environmental care as a personal and collective responsibility.

Emerging from a previous Erasmus+ KA153 project focused on the Circular Economy, envARToment builds on the foundation of sustainable practices, aiming to expand its impact by incorporating creative expression.

The project involves the collaboration of five organizations across Europe: Inplanet (Greece), as the facilitator, Open Soul (Poland NGO) as trainers, Acpelia (Cyprus NGO), NĂ³ Gordio (Portugal NGO) and Ukmerge (Lithuania Municipality). Together, these organizations will engage 30 participants (6 from each), creating a vibrant and diverse learning environment.

Key activities include:

  • Workshops on environmental degradation and climate change, providing a deeper understanding of pressing global issues.
  • Discussions on the impact of littering and environmental neglect, inspiring actionable solutions.
  • Interactive sessions with local artists and activist organizations to merge creativity with activism.
  • Vertical gardening workshop, demonstrating hands-on sustainability practices.
  • Development and presentation of artistic project ideas focused on environmental care, fostering innovation and collaboration.

By combining the urgency of environmental issues with the creativity of art, envARToment aspires to ignite a passion for sustainability in young minds, leaving a lasting impact on participants and their communities.
