KA152 Waste to Wonder

Waste to Wonder is a Youth Exchange (YE) that empowers young people to tackle environmental challenges through creativity, collaboration, and practical action. The project focuses on turning waste into valuable and meaningful creations while promoting sustainable practices and a circular economy mindset.

Bringing together diverse participants, the YE encourages intercultural dialogue and teamwork as participants explore innovative ways to reuse, reduce, and recycle materials. Through hands-on workshops, they will develop skills in upcycling, crafting with recycled materials, and creating artistic pieces that raise awareness about the importance of sustainability. These activities inspire a shift from a throwaway culture to one of responsibility and creativity.

The program also fosters critical thinking about human consumption and its environmental impact. Participants will discuss and exchange ideas on adopting more sustainable habits in their everyday lives and explore how they can inspire change in their local communities. Cultural exchange activities will enrich the experience, allowing participants to share their perspectives and traditions while building a sense of solidarity.

An essential part of the YE is engaging with the local community. Participants will organize awareness-raising initiatives, such as exhibitions or public workshops, to showcase their creations and share the message of sustainability. These activities aim to create a lasting impact by inspiring others to adopt eco-friendly practices.

By the end of the project, participants will have gained practical skills, fostered environmental awareness, and built connections across cultures. Waste to Wonder transforms waste into beauty and participants into proactive ambassadors for sustainability, ready to lead change in their communities.
