KA152 Trash2Treasure
Trash 2 Treasure project is an Erasmus+ KA152 project created during the training course "SUCOMINNO", taking place in Poland from January 2–9, 2025. The name (Trash 2 Treasure) of the Youth Exchange refers to the main idea of the project: raising awareness about waste management and recycling of used clothes. The Youth Exchange will be organized by a partnership of five municipalities from Poland (Starachowice), Portugal (Valongo), Cyprus (Polychoros), Lithuania (Ukmerge), and Greece (Korydallos).

The project will take place in Pissouri, Cyprus, and the target group will be youth aged 18–30. As the project's aim is to raise awareness about waste management and recycling clothes, it addresses the growing issue of fast fashion and wasting items that are still wearable. At the beginning of the project, all participants will take part in team-building activities and icebreakers to create a strong team for the following days of workshops. Afterward, participants will have the opportunity to learn how to fix and repair used clothes through multiple workshops provided by experts, who will first explain, then teach, and finally support hands-on work.

Additionally, participants will organize a fashion show on the last day of the exchange to showcase the products of their work. Organizing the fashion show will require practical skills in logistics and planning, contributing to the development of participants' hard and soft skills through non-formal education methods. The repaired clothes and upcycled items will also be donated, extending the impact of the project to help those in need.
The reparation of clothes and the fashion show also draw from the trends and ideas of sustainable art and fashion. Apart from these activities, T2T will be a great platform for networking among participants and partner organizations, allowing them to exchange knowledge and experiences, potentially leading to future cooperation. Lastly, youth from across Europe will get the chance to experience Cypriot culture through a study visit to Limassol during the exchange.
